  • Support for 2017-2018 Secure Browsers Ending 9/24

AIR released new versions of the secure browsers for desktops and secure test apps for mobile devices in July and August. These are the only versions that can be used for 2018-2019 secure student testing. A grace period was allowed in which students could access the secure student testing site using either the 2017-2018 versions or the 2018-2019 versions. That grace period will end on Monday, September 24. After this date, only the 2018-2019 secure browser versions can be used to access the secure student testing site. Anyone attempting to use an older version will receive a “Browser not supported” message when launching the secure browser or app. Please be sure all devices to be used for secure testing have been updated to the 2018-2019 versions. Visit the Secure Browsers page of the portal for complete information on supported browsers, operating systems, installation instructions and other important information for making sure your district’s or school’s technology is ready for secure student testing.

  • Practice Tests for 2018-2019

The Practice Test Site has received some updates going into the 2018-2019 school year. These updates include additional items, including newly released items from the Spring 2018 and Fall 2017 administrations. Users will also notice an updated look and feel to the login pages, which mirror changes made to the login pages of the student testing site to improve the student experience when logging in. These improvements are designed to:

    • Make the process clearer and require fewer clicks, resulting in less time spent on login pages
    • Reduce login time when resuming a paused test
    • Reduce login errors and provide information to help resolve errors when there are login errors
    • Make it easier to know if you are logging into an operational test or a practice test
    • Help focus the student on key information

Additionally, when selecting certain student settings on the Choose Settings login page that affect visual aspects of the site (e.g., Color Choice), the screen will update in real-time with those settings. This should make it easier to select student settings.
