  • Spring 2019 AASCD 2.0 Online Independent Field Test Window

The Ohio Department of Education invites all districts and schools to participate in the Spring 2019 Alternate Assessment for students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities (AASCD) 2.0 online independent field test window April 15 - May 31. The AASCD 2.0 independent field test may be administered to any student who took the spring 2019 AASCD 1.0. Students who were preidentified in TIDE for the spring 2019 AASCD 1.0 are automatically preidentified for the AASCD 2.0 independent field test.

Participation in the Spring 2019 AASCD 2.0 independent field test provides districts, teachers, and students the opportunity to experience online alternate assessment testing to better prepare for next year’s Spring 2020 AASCD 2.0 online operational field test. Participation in the Spring 2019 field test is voluntary and there is no minimum number of students or schools within a district that must participate. Districts may choose to have all students who take the alternate assessment in the district participate in the field test, or only a school or classroom in the district might participate, or even just one student in the district may take the field test. The department encourages as many eligible students within a district as possible take the field test.

Test administrators begin test sessions via the TA Interface, available on the Ohio Alternate Assessment portal. Students access the online tests via the AIR Secure Browser or AIRSecureTest app, available for download from the Ohio Alternate Assessment portal

    AASCD Independent Field Test Survey

Test administrators and others are invited to submit feedback on their experience with the AASCD 2.0 independent field test. A link to the survey is available from the Ohio Alternate Assessment portal homepage. All feedback is valuable and will be used to inform future policies and procedures for AASCD online testing.

If your district had already upgraded to v72, please ensure you upgrade to this or a later dot version of 72. If your district has not upgraded to v72, you may do so at your discretion, ensuring you upgrade to this or a later dot version of 72.
